A return to the water today to start training for my women's triathlon in 6 weeks. Much harder thsn water ballet but managed 14 lengths =350m.

Went to emergency care last week with Mr 12 for suspected fracture and told it wasn't. Got a call today to say the radiologist 're assessment of xrays and there is s slight green stick fracture.  So Mr 12 in fibreglass cast for three weeks.

We ventured into the viaduct and had lunch at the seafood festival.  This is Jono's scampi and muscles,  I enjoyed scallops and calamari. Will visit again next year without the kids to partake in a vino and enjoy the music.

After a 3hr rehearsal this morning under grey sky, the weather lifted to produce a stellar afternoon. A trip out to Maraetai Beach was in order for more wharf jumping and burying the boys in sand. Magic moments!

This lovely fountain is at the Parnell Baths in Auckland, NZ. This evening I had my first water dance practice for the year with the Wet Hot Beauties troupe. The weather was cool and showery but we were wet anyway! In the wind the water tumbled all over in random falls, it is beautiful.

So it was an overcast day but warm and muggy in Auckland but that didn't stop us venturing up to Long Bay. The tide was out and despite small waves the boys enjoyed boogie boarding, playing in the creak and eating pizza on the beach.

Lucky to have a road side stall selling 3 punnets of strawberries for $5, so I got 12 punnets, hulled them all for freezing so I can make delicious smoothies.  This one has banana, strawberry and bit of orange juice - yummy!

Today we took the dogs up to Orewa Beach for a swim with the boys in the little waves. It was so HOT! We had to seek shelter under a pohutukawa. Here's Poppy in the long grass watching the boys play. POPPY is a black mini schnauzer who is one year old.

It was lovely and warm today for my first salt water dip of the season at Maraetai Beach.
