31/365: At the bar

A quick shot of some of the troupe at the bar (of the pool) in one of our numbers. We heard today that all 5 shows are sold out! HONK!

30/365: TV Star

It was an early start with the Wet Hot Beauties doing several segments on breakfast tv... Got to wear part of our costume for first time with petty black chockers and tutus!

29/365: Corny Costume

We are starting to play with costumes this week at practice.  Lynne will be doning these Elvis-like-crown glasses to transform into the Prince's mum.

27/365: monkey business

This amazing recycled monkey is made from old bike parts. The guy was so clever at his transformer type creations (wish I'd got a card to link to his business).

26/365: A taste of seafood...

We ventured into the viaduct and had lunch at the seafood festival.  This is Jono's scampi and muscles,  I enjoyed scallops and calamari. Will visit again next year without the kids to partake in a vino and enjoy the music.

25/365: Need a book

Busy and tiring day of heavy lifting and sorting the bulk stationery supplies for the year!

24/365: Practice

This evening at dance practice we had a photo shoot for Valentine's Day promo  for a cover of a magazine.  So, hopefully it'll look good and be published.  The show is coming  together so well and tickets are selling out! Swan Song.

23/365: Splash-splash

The boys and I headed to a friend's birthday party at the Parnell Baths. It was a super sunny day to splash about in the water!

22/365: Workout

Was invited to have-a-go at a hip-hop type aerobics class this evening. It was a lot of fun and enjoyable but I was very uncoordinated! 

21/365: Auckland City

Another stunning day in the city of sails. Auckland, New Zealand is my home town. This image is from North Head towards down town.

20/365: Buried Treasure

After a 3hr rehearsal this morning under grey sky, the weather lifted to produce a stellar afternoon. A trip out to Maraetai Beach was in order for more wharf jumping and burying the boys in sand. Magic moments!

19/365: The Guardian

This gull sits perched watching the small beach bay at Devonport and out into the Hauraki Gulf at the vessels going by as if he is keeping guard of his territory.

18/365: Keep on moving

After not feeling very well this morning it was good to get out of the house and blow away the cobwebs with some fresh air at the park.

17/365: Let it flow

This lovely fountain is at the Parnell Baths in Auckland, NZ. This evening I had my first water dance practice for the year with the Wet Hot Beauties troupe. The weather was cool and showery but we were wet anyway! In the wind the water tumbled all over in random falls, it is beautiful.

16/365: Red 21

Back to my siren red shellac nails. The red is very bright for everyday wear but it's part of my Wet Hot Beauties dance persona.

15/365: Coffee connections

When catching up with friends you haven't seen for a while coffee helps rekindle those connections.

14/365: Signs of summer

So it was an overcast day but warm and muggy in Auckland but that didn't stop us venturing up to Long Bay. The tide was out and despite small waves the boys enjoyed boogie boarding, playing in the creak and eating pizza on the beach.

13/365: Strawberry fare

Lucky to have a road side stall selling 3 punnets of strawberries for $5, so I got 12 punnets, hulled them all for freezing so I can make delicious smoothies.  This one has banana, strawberry and bit of orange juice - yummy!

12/365: Poppy

Today we took the dogs up to Orewa Beach for a swim with the boys in the little waves. It was so HOT! We had to seek shelter under a pohutukawa. Here's Poppy in the long grass watching the boys play. POPPY is a black mini schnauzer who is one year old.

11/365: canine makeover

Our dogs got groomed today and look completely different. Couldn't get them in before Christmas so they were too hot with their long coats, now they're mega short.

10/365:Joyride

It was far too hot today for a bike ride with the boys but rewarded myself with a cool swim afterwards.

9/365: Just a bite

Was very lucky to be given four delicious crayfish for our dinner. Such a delicious treat that you must savor every bite!

The boys needed a careful eye on as they climbed onto the roof and jumped into the pool. This is summer fun in NZ.

It was lovely and warm today for my first salt water dip of the season at Maraetai Beach.

Ready for an afternoon in the sun by our pool with this delicious drink to help with the heat.

On "good mother" mode I packed a picnic and we enjoyed time at Maraetai Beach.

The challenge begins

The 365 photo challenge has always interested me. 2013 is a year that I'm going to do creative things for me! Over recent years I have been very ambitious in my career sphere and now it is time to get back to my creative roots and explore other ways to enhance my life. Whilst jumping into the 365 challenge 5 days into the new year - I wanted to make sure I could do mobile postings - so being a google app user with blogger and picassa web album I am hoping to be able to do most posts from my Samsung S3 phone. The challenge begins...
